The Verdan Chronicles: What's Next?

As promised, some time over the next week I hope to make Volume 1, The Fourth Age available for purchase in paperback and downloadable format through lulu.com.  It will be self-published and available on demand.  I'll add a link to this site for anyone wishing to purchase.  I will do whatever I can to keep the cost as low as possible.  The preview chapters will still be available for download on this site.

By the end of March I hope to make Volume 2, Dark Passages available in the same manner.  That should bring everyone pretty much up to date with my current works.  I am still busy writing Volume 3, which will bring to a conclusion the war against Terek.  In April, I plan to announce the title and more details of the third volume, along with a timeline of when it will be published.

For anyone who enjoys these adventures, Volume 3 will not be the last you hear of Verdan.  There will be more stories to tell and a Volume 4 will also be published, either late this year or early in 2011.  Thanks again to everyone who's checked out the sight and provided any encouragement to me to continue these tales.  Probably more than anyone, I enjoy discovering what these characters will do next.

Dark Passages: It's Here!

For anyone following the adventures of the heroes of Verdan, the first four chapters of the second volume are now available for download.  And yes, it's all still free!  The plan right now is to continue to roll out additional chapters each month.  However, the schedule can be adjusted if demand warrants.  Just let me know in the Discuss forum.

Also, I am exploring options to make the book available in print for those that prefer to read in that format.  However, bear in mind that there are costs associated with doing that and it may not be economical for a lot of people.

Lastly, just a reminder that I do post brief updates nearly daily on twitter, so you can catch the latest through @verdanchronicle on twitter.

Coming Soon! The Verdan Chronicles Volume 2: Dark Passages

Volume 2 is getting very close to completion.  The plan right now is for me to roll out chapters on the site starting in January.  How quickly they are made available depends on whether anyone is ready to read them.  Just let me know.  In the meantime, the title of the next book is “Dark Passages”.  I personally think the title very appropriate.  Below is a brief summary.

Volume 2 of the Verdan Chronicles is titled “Dark Passages” and is a continuation of the story started in “The Fourth Age”.  After the events at the end of Volume 1, the heroes and villains of Verdan find themselves traveling through some dark places.  Whether in the Khanian Mountains or the Kyrothan ruins, there are new dangers and new challenges that need to be overcome.   In this volume the goblins, vampires and dwarves take center stage.  Everyone will be impacted by these events, but not everyone will survive.  By the end of Volume 2 the stage will be set for the final confrontations that will determine the fate of Verdan.

Volume 1 + Preview

Is now available! Volume 1 of Verdan Chronicles is now finished and ready to be downloaded in PDF format from The Book section.

If the 40 chapter, 382 page book is too much to handle at first - I also added a Preview PDF in The Book section. It consists of the first 6 Chapters and should give you a fairly good idea of what the full book has in store for you.
 

The First Half is Available

Chapters 11-20 have been added to the The Book section in PDF format. This means that the first half of Volume 1 is up and available for downloading. There are 20 more chapters to be reformated, and converted to pdf, but they should be available for download within the next week or so.
